A Letter To Myself
I shared this letter last week on Instagram because I felt stuck. This is part of the "Make it Happen 2024" exercise from The Mel Robbins Podcast.
Bianca,
Everything you are dreaming of is just on the other side of this wall, The wall you built. The good news is this wall is flimsy AF. There’s no mortar or any kind of sealant holding this wall together. The blocks aren’t even cement! They’re foam. Foam breeze blocks!
If you just keep putting one foot in front of the other it will literally fall over. But! As the blocks fall they will begin to pile up. This will create a new challenge. When this happens, remember, JUST DO {IT} THE WORK WICKERS! You’re going to have to pivot and adjust, you can’t just keep putting one foot in front of the other. You are going to have to bend down and pick up the blocks, move them out of your path and clear the way for those behind you. Even a light load can feel like heavy lifting some of the time. JUST DO {IT} THE WORK WICKERS!
I have to say, it’s interesting that you managed to mix your fears with your dreams. You have been dreaming of owning a mid-century home and you have visualized incorporating breeze blocks into the landscape. Breeze blocks. LOL. You can literally see just about everything you want on the other side of this wall, a wall with light coming through it. This doesn’t surprise me. You know your source of light and you know it will never go dark, be strong and courageous.Follow the light and let your light shine – “...let it shine, let it shine, let it shine”.
